Aliens in New Mexico

Whether or not you believe or do not believe Roswell, New Mexico is fun town. Their claim to fame is the UFO that crashed there and the alien bodies that were recovered by the United States government. In Roswell, New Mexico if you cannot find something that with aliens on it then you are not looking hard enough.

The entire town markets aliens in anyway that they can. Of course, there is the museum that is devoted to aliens and all that they do. There are pictures of autopsied aliens and aerial pictures of where the crash happened. There are tons of souvenir shops packed full of T-shirts, key chains, stickers and anything else that someone could put an alien on. The kids can even play miniature golf with the aliens. Being in the southwest, there is the southwestern motif that spills into the alien’s frontier as well.

The restaurants are not immune to the aliens that populate the town and neither are the hotels. The town hosts the annual Alien Festival. It is occasion that the locals and tourists look forward to every year. There is a parade, costume contest for the adults, children and pets and vendors that come from all around selling more alien stuff in case the locals do not have enough already. Of course not everything is about aliens; Roswell also hosts an annual hot air balloon event and a major golf tournament. They also have their own special events, like every other town; however, what makes them unique are their little green friends.
